Google Rolls Out AI Mode Info Monitoring to All Users Globally

Google is rolling out information monitoring in AI Mode to all users worldwide. Users can tell AI Mode what it can watch and search. This monitoring will help track what they usually check and provide notifications.

On September 28, 2026, Monday Robby Stein Google VP product of search announced this rollout in his post on X. At the time of writing, Google has not shared a separate official blog post about it.

What is New Update in Google AI Mode

This Info Monitoring Google AI Mode has changed how information can be discovered, with a notification if you ask Google for it. This capability was previously used by Google Ultra and pro subscribers.

It can also suggest monitoring tasks recommendations when users are searching so that manual setup is not required always and users have the opportunity to set up the monitoring while searching.

The notification arrives only when an update happens, and the notification expands the whole information as a search result.

The monitoring system looks for information for social media, real time data sources and more than 60 billion products. This works for searches like these:

• New restaurants or pop-up events nearby
• Price drop updates and product restocks
• Holiday events and local activity

How Info Monitoring Works in Google AI Mode

This feature can turn a one-time search into a monitoring task useful for information that changes frequently and allows users to keep track of updates.

Users can tell AI Mode what information they want to follow, and the search continues checking for changes and users can sit relax dont need to recheck. 

Users can use this feature from the Google Mobile Application by selecting AI Mode and asking for the information.

If a user asks to monitor a new restaurant, a local holiday activity, or a product that is currently out of stock, the AI monitoring system provides them with an update when the information changes.

But Robby Stein also said that more new updates are in progress means more AI updates can be added to Google.
