There was a September 2026 spam update that was completed on 8 October 2026; after that, you may see delayed data crawling in the performance reports in your verified Google Search Console. While checking our Search Learner Performance Report, we have spotted that the latest data point on the report was 8 October 2026.
What We Have Seen in Search Console
Over the past few days, the report has been lagging. Search Console performance report shows the updated clicks, impressions, CTR, and average position for the latest date. Now, while we are trying to view the Search Learner performance report for 12 October 2026, it generally says the last update was a few hours ago.
Here is our Search Learner Search Console Performance Report Dashboard.
Others Are Facing the Same Issues
After the September 2026 spam update completed, site owners opened the Performance report to compare their results before and after the rollout and have seen the same issues.
Vinay Kumar has also shared in his X post:
Barry Schwartz has also seen this issue in their reports and has shared it on X.
This doesn’t let us see our latest report currently because it hasn’t updated the data yet, which is really unusual. It’s a meaningful report that shows noteworthy metrics.
Check Last Crawl
If you want to check performance for any of your specific pages.
- Copy and paste the URL into the Search Console inspection bar to see when the page was last crawled.
- Compare it with 24 September 2026, when this update started rolling out.
The recent crawl date doesn’t mean the page is affected; it’s only to see when the Google crawler has revisited the page.
Don’t Make Changes
- Don’t juggle with incomplete data; let it be updated first.
- Check the performance after a few days’ wait.
- Look at the last crawl date.
- Avoid making major changes based on current data.
